Wednesdays on the Green
Beginning on Wednesday, June 6, there will be a free, fun, family friendly event on the Village Green every Wednesday evening through August 29. All programs begin at 7 p.m. and conclude at 8:30 p.m. except for the movie nights that continue past dusk. Visit www.wednesdaysonthegreen.com for more program information.
On specific Wednesday nights, one Downtown Skokie restaurant is designated as the "Featured Restaurant" and will offer a 20% discount from 4 p.m. to close when presented with a Wednesdays on the Green coupon card.
Oakton-Skokie Swift Station Now Open!
Service at the new CTA Yellow Line Station in Downtown Skokie began on Monday, April 30. A community celebration at the new Oakton-Skokie Station is scheduled for Sunday, June 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. There will be plenty of fun, family friendly events including a bike parade along the new Oakton Valley Trail, a sculpture dedication and much more.
