Swift Child Care Early Childhood Centers has been providing quality early education and childcare services in the Village of Skokie for over twenty-three years. The mission of Swift Child Care is to provide a familycentered atmosphere that fosters the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of children of varying abilities and diverse backgrounds. The curriculum, lesson plans and learning atmosphere are designed to assist children in catapulting their creativity while at the same time encouraging them to experience the freedom that comes through exploration. With this in mind, Swift Child Care provides a loving and nurturing early learning environment that promotes the growth and development of the whole child.
Since its inception in 1987, Swift Child Care has been licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and the Village of Skokie. At three locations in Downtown Skokie, Swift Child Care operates full-day, year-round programs for approximately 250 children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years. Historically, Swift Child Care has consistently kept pace with the changing child care and early education needs in Skokie and its surrounding communities. While experiencing tremendous growth since 2007, Swift Child Care has continued to make great strides in program quality, services for young children and their families, professional development for staff and administrative practices. As a result, in 2010, Swift Child Care was the recipient of the Quality Counts Quality Rating System Award, as well as the Illinois Action for Children "Rising Star Award". Both awards are a testament to exceeding State standards to ensure children receive an enhanced learning and care experience.
